His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai has announced that Chinese travelers visiting the United Arab Emirates will now be granted visas on arrival.

Chinese tourists previously had to obtain visas before traveling to the UAE.

China is the 7th best performing source market for Dubai tourism; 478 thousand Chinese travelers visited Dubai in the first 10 months of 2016. The number of Chinese travelers arriving Dubai increased 15% compare to the same period in 2015. The visa on arrival facilitation is expected to boost more Chinese travelers to Dubai as well as other emirates.
