Tourist Arrivals to Turkey on Rise

Turkish Culture and Tourism Ministry reveled the tourism statistics for November 2009. The number of foreign tourists visiting Turkey in November 2009 increased by 10.7 percent when compared to the same month of 2008.
On the other hand, the number of foreign tourists visiting the country rose by 2.4 percent to 25,850,971 between January and November 2009.
Germans were ranked the first among tourists visiting Turkey for holiday with 4,292,140 and Russians were ranked the second. Brits are the third most visiting nationality visiting Turkish cities.
The number of tourists visiting Turkey in November 2009 became 1,403,740, according to the ministry statistics.
