Turkish Airlines has announced some directorial changes in a bid to fortify the organization’s presence in the Middle East and strengthen the local platform.

Following a successful year as Director of Dubai & Sri Lanka, Mr. Adil Hamade has left the UAE and relocated to Beirut, Lebanon where he will manage Turkish Airlines’ operations. He plans to implement novel strategies to enhance awareness of the airline as a global brand and highlight its ever expanding network across the region.

Ms. Ayse Misirli Mirza, previously Director of Turkish Airlines Abu Dhabi, has been transferred to Dubai after launching operations in the capital four years ago. Ms. Misirli Mirza has a long standing background in the aviation industry and has been with Turkish Airlines since 1998.

“Our clear vision for the UAE is continued expansion, increasing the number and frequency of routes, and establishing ourselves as a leading airline carrier for flights out of the country,” stated the newly appointed Dubai Director.

Replacing Ms. Misirli Mirza as Abu Dhabi Director is Mr. Ahmet Bozdas, who is transferring from his previous post as Director of Egypt. “The UAE boasts a booming travel & tourism industry and I am very excited to become a part of that. I look forward to my new role and will continue in my efforts to improve on Turkish Airlines’ role in the regional aviation sector,” said Mr. Bozdas.

The new posts have been effective as of 15th February 2010.
