A traditional Arabic restaurant; Local House, with two outlets in Dubai is offering camel burgers in a local take on an American classic.
Ali Ahmad Esmail, Assistant Manager, Local House, said the restaurant uses camel meat from an Al Ain farm to prepare the Dh20 burger – with each patty weighing 120 grams.
Although camel meat is normally hard, Esmail said they make the meat tender and prepared a “secret” mix of spices. Esmail added that the best part of the burger is that the patty is made of zero fat meat that also has no cholesterol.
Local House in Bastakiya, Bur Dubai, based on a traditional Emirati home, and it’s kiosk in The Walk, Jumeirah Beach Residence, is selling a quarter pounder camel burger for AED20.
