Qatar Tourism Authority celebrates Karankao at the Doha Summer Fun Park. The Organizing Committee has announced that there will be gifts, prizes and sweets given away to children during the mid-Ramadan evening.
In addition, local songs will be played for the occasion. The evening will be supported by many charity organizations and social centers who will attend the celebration.
Family hours have been designated on Thursdays and Fridays and QTA will continue to keep these days for families throughout Ramadan. Shops will offer new merchandise for Eid Al Fitr. Restaurants will continue to serve a variety of foods from different cultures including, Middle Eastern, Asian and Indian cuisines. In addition, there is a cafe serving local dishes and a number of traditional Ramadan sweets.
Qatar Islamic Center (Fanar), the cultural sponsor of the event, will be hosting exciting shows for Karankao. The crowd will be involved with shows including animals, such as snakes, lizards and spiders. The new theatre, in the style of a traditional Qatari house, will hold entertainment shows and plays which will be shown for the first time in Qatar.
Organized by QTA and produced by SEQLIA Organizing & Building Exhibitions & Conferences Company, Doha Summer Fun Park is open to families and visitors from the GCC region. Doha Summer Fun Park welcomes fun-seekers from 8pm to 2am during Ramadan. Entry is free for all.
