Al Bustan Rotana Dubai’s Executive Chef Christophe Prud’homme achieved a highly important mark on his culinary career after being named as Chef of the Year at this year’s Middle East Caterer Awards. Competing against a considerable number of chefs not only in the UAE but across the region, Prud’homme stood out to be the best and achieved one of the most sought-after awards in the food and beverage industry.
Middle East Caterer Awards is an annual awarding event organized by ITP’s Caterer Magazine to recognize the excellent performance of individuals and teams within the region’s F&B and catering industries. Various categories are participated in by a number of hotels, restaurants and supply companies, with the Chef of the Year and Kitchen Hero of the Year ranking as the two biggest categories. The event was celebrated through an awarding ceremony held recently.
Prud’homme’s innate passion for his craft, remarkable accomplishments in terms of staff development and outstanding contributions towards the success of Al Bustan Rotana Dubai’s food and beverage business were the key formula for him to get the vote of the panel of judges. Commenting on this accolade, Prud’homme remarked, “This is indeed a great achievement for me, I am very grateful. As Chef of the Year, I share this recognition to the management of Rotana and to each and every member of my team. This has not been possible without the huge support of the management combined with the efforts and hardwork of my staff, who stand by my side every single day to ensure that we provide nothing but the best.”
Hussein Hachem, Cluster General Manager of Al Bustan and Al Murooj Rotana Dubai added, “We are very proud of Christophe’s achievement as Chef of the Year. This recognition is a clear manifestation of the talent and dedication within our team, which pave the way for us to ensure and provide the highest levels of service of quality to all our guests in the property”.
