The Kempinski Residences & Suites, Doha; the first property in Qatar operated by the renowned global hospitality group, will open in April 2010.
With a history dating back to 1897, Europe’s oldest and most established luxury hotel collection boasts an impressive portfolio of properties across the world. The Kempinski Residence & Suites, Doha joins this elite collection and will be operated and managed by Kempinski Hotels. The property is owned by Al Fardan Hospitality, a leader in Qatar’s luxury market.
Currently the tallest and only square structured building on Qatar’s dominating West Bay skyline, the 62-floor residence tower will have 370 fully-furnished serviced apartments and suites for short-, mid- and long-term rental, targeting residents as well as corporate travellers. On the crown of this towering skyscraper will be two duplex Sky Villas with six-bedrooms each, sprawled across 930 square meters of total ambience.
Ms. Emel Atikkan, General Manager of the Kempinski Residences & Suites, Doha, says: “This property will be unlike any other in Doha and we aim to deliver an experience that is unparalleled. From food and beverage outlets offering a range of dining and sensory experiences to the Kempi Kids Club tailored to offer enhanced day care services, residents at the Kempinski Residences & Suites, Doha will have access to not just great facilities, but also the elevated lifestyle that goes with it.”
“Qatar is fast becoming, if not already the premier business and cultural destination in the GCC which is demonstrated by its selection as the Cultural capital of the Arab world in 2010. We feel this is the perfect time to launch the Kempinski Residences and Suites, Doha” says Ms. Atikkan.
Qatar is a major inbound market for corporate travelers, and the infrastructure, education and sports industry are emerging as key demand generators for accommodation, says Mr. Rabih Elzyr, Director of Sales at the Kempinski Residences & Suites, Doha. “We will be offering exclusivity and service quality in tune with the best that the Kempinski brand offers globally. Rather than be just a new destination for weary travelers, what we offer is timeless elegance and the Kempinski brand will definitely add great value to Qatar’s hospitality scene.”
Currently in the final stages of furnishing, the project will feature two indoor swimming pools for adults and families, a large gym with state-of-the-art fitness equipment, steam rooms, sauna, hydrotherapy bath and several treatment rooms. The Residences will also have 24-hour housekeeping and in-residence catering, a boardroom and business centre as well as various food and beverage outlets.
