Emirates has partnered with Montblanc – purveyors of fine luxury products, to offer customers the opportunity to bid on a limited edition one-of-one timepiece from the Montblanc Nicolas Rieussec TimeWriter Collection, celebrating the 190th anniversary of the chronograph, created exclusively for Emirates.

Emirates passengers can take advantage of this opportunity to make a bid to own this unique timepiece with a two-tone dial design in 18carat red gold, with a minimum bidding price starting at US$45,000. From 01 July until 31 December 2011, customers on board all Emirates flights can send in their bid by filling in the leaflet available onboard from a member of cabin crew. All proceeds will be donated to charity.

As a part of the winning bid, the winner and a companion can enjoy the opportunity to fly First Class Emirates to Geneva, where they will then stay at the luxurious Montblanc Chateau, LeLocle, nestled in the mountains of the Swiss Jura, which is also home to Montblanc Montre S.A. The winner will be presented with the timepiece in Dubai.

“We are constantly seeking innovative ways to cater to the evolving tastes of our discerning customers, and this unique Montblanc timepiece is reflective of our goal to provide them with an offering that is both distinctive and memorable,” said John J. Sime, Vice President Retail Services, Emirates. “This exclusive offering complements the high quality of our onboard service from the level of comfort onboard and attention to detail, to the wide-range of duty free sales options that cater to diverse customer needs.”

All proceeds from this bid will be donated to The Emirates Airline Foundation (www.emiratesfoundation.ae) and SmileTrain (www.smiletrain.org), two charities dedicated to providing a wholesome and loving environment that enhances the quality of life for children in need across the world.
