For the first half of 2012 Dusit Thani Dubai saw the number of events held at the hotel increase by 15 per cent when compared to the same period in 2011, a trend which the Thai hotel expects to continue to rise throughout the second half of this year.

The growth was witnessed across all segments with social events achieving a 12 per cent increase in the number of events taking place between January and June 2012, against the first six months of 2011.

Inna Asmanova, newly appointed Events Sales Manager at Dusit Thani Dubai, predicts that the remainder of 2012 is going to see a similar increase for the hotel.“There has been a steady increase in people looking to host celebrations and social events across Dubai and with the festive season ahead we are positive on seeing a continued growth in the number of events hosted at Dusit Thani Dubai.”

Ms Asmanova joined the Thai hotel chain with a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry ranging from her native Russia before moving to the UAE to work in a similar position for one of Dubai’s other leading hotels. She has been tasked with managing the hotels events department, developing its strategies and positioning, while looking at ways to maximise event sales revenue.

“Joining a well established hotel chain in Dubai such as Dusit Thani Dubai creates not only a great opportunity for myself to further develop my own career but also to further enhance the hotel’s  positioning and drive forward the hotel’s events department. The next few months are going to be an exciting time for the events industry and I am positive that we it is going to be a fruitful one for us.”
