Turkish hospitality chain; Rixos Hotels opened its first hotel in Egypt, located in the region’s beach destination, Sharm Al Shaikh. Rixos Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt becomes the chain’s 18th property after Rixos Residence Bomonty Istanbul opened in September 2012.
Rixos Sharm El Sheikh, which is located in the heart of the city; set along the Nabq Bay, encompasses 695 rooms and suites, including 488 furnished rooms, 70 family rooms, in addition to 137 junior suites.
“Sharm Al Shaikh’s reputation as a dynamic and rapidly-expanding touristic destination was among the key attributes that prompted our presence in Egypt,” said Basak Erel, Senior Vice-President Brand Management at Rixos Hotels.
The Turkish hotel operator opened its first UAE hotel in March on Palm Jumeirah, with the second one is planned in Ras Al Khaimah. The group has 10 more hotels in its current pipeline for the region, according to earlier reports.
