The Steigenberger Al Dau Beach Hotel is the first hotel at Egypt’s West coast of the Red Sea to be awarded with the international Green Globe certificate for economic, social and environmental sustainability.
This followed an independent inspection of the 5-star deluxe hotel by an accredited third party auditor. The quality standard encompasses more than 39 mandatory criteria supported by 339 compliance indicators covering a wide range of different environmental business methods. Such areas include sustainable management, recycling, social and economical support, protection of cultural heritages, environmental friendliness, and conserving recourses, biodiversity, ecosystems and landscapes.
“We are delighted having been awarded with this prestigious certificate, which is testament to our ongoing commitment to quality standards and environmental friendly sustainability in our operations. Being the first hotel at the Red Sea coast to achieve this award clearly underlines our determination to set the benchmark in hospitality in the region“, says Lars Geweyer, General Manager of the Steigenberger Al Dau Beach Hotel.
