Following the commencement of Gulf Air’s Airbus A330 aircraft retrofit earlier this year, Bahrain’s national carrier recently gave a number of local media members the opportunity to experience the airline’s revamped product on a familiarization trip to London.
During the visit, which was jointly hosted by one of London’s leading luxury hotels, Hotel Café Royal, media representatives experienced Gulf Air’s latest product enhancements, both inflight and on-the-ground, enjoying the airline’s revamped A330 aircraft and the Gulf Air Falcon Gold Lounges in both Bahrain International Airport and London Heathrow Airport Terminal 4.
Gulf Air flights to London are operated by newly refurbished Airbus A330 aircraft in a two-class configuration with 30 fully-flatbed Falcon Gold Class seats, 184 revamped Economy Class seats and a state-of-the-art in-flight-entertainment system throughout. Designed specifically for the airline, and incorporating various elements of passengers’ feedback, Gulf Air’s ongoing and highly anticipated A330 retrofit is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2014.
With double-daily nonstop flights between London and Bahrain and, with excellent connections beyond, Gulf Air offers excellent connectivity for passengers travelling between London and the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Asia. The national carrier holds a leadership position in the Middle East by operating one of the largest regional networks thereby catering to business and leisure travellers.
