Millennium & Copthorne Hotels Middle East and Africa (MEA) has launched its 2014 summer campaign with a five-in-one suite of unique value-driven room packages for its 17 hotels across the region.
The rapidly expanding hotel group’s summer offer comes on the back of continued strong occupancy levels in the Gulf, particularly for Doha, Dubai and Muscat which all hit occupancy levels of 80% or more in March 2014, according to data released by STR Global.
The Sensational Summer Packages campaign will be available for guests looking to stay in Millennium Hotels in the UAE, Jordan, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait and Iraq from May to September 2014.
“Instead of following the traditional model of a discounted one-size-fits-all rate offer for the long summer period, we created a programme that will benefit leisure, family and business travellers alike, and allow us to optimise our yield management strategy for the season with flexible pricing options that have been tailored to meet the diverse needs of local, regional and international guests,” said Ali Hamad Lakhraim Alzaabi, President & CEO, Millennium and Copthorne Middle East.
“The GCC leisure market is one of our fastest growing guest segments and in the summer months, business trips are largely replaced by leisure travel, particularly for families, and this campaign is designed to cater for their leisure requirements while still providing hugely competitive room rates,” he added.
Package-savvy travellers can choose from the ‘Leisure for Longer’ package, which offers 15% discount on the Best Flexible Rate of the day for stays of three nights or more; the ‘Advance Purchase’ package with 15% discount off the Best Flexible Rate of the day for bookings made minimum seven days in advance; or the ‘Last Minute for Less’ offer with a 10% reduction on bookings made 24 hours prior to arrival.
A ‘Family Summer Breaks’ package with 50% discount on dining for children aged 12 years and under, and the ‘Triple B for Business’ discounted rate offer on the standard Bed, Breakfast & Broadband package round out the suite of offerings.
The promotional packages come at a time when inter-GCC travel is experiencing robust growth, especially during the summer holiday months when visitors look for indoor entertainment and attractions. According to the DTCM, Dubai, one of most popular leisure destinations for GCC tourists, received 4.2 million visitors from the GCC countries last year, a 13.2% increase over 2012.
