Mövenpick Hotel Al Khobar has once again received the internationally renowned Green Globe certificate for sustainable operation and management.
Farnek Middle East LLC, Green Globe’s preferred partner and Mövenpick Hotels&Resorts’ appointed total facilities management company, completed the certification audit and found the hotel achieved 83% of the compliance indicators within Green Globe’s International Standard for Sustainable Tourism.
This excellent score puts Mövenpick Hotel Al Khobar in the top tier of hotels certified by Green Globe, which measures a property’s operations against 337 compliance indicators across four major themes: sustainable management, socio-economics, cultural heritage and environment.

Mövenpick Hotel Al Khobar has been commended for its initiative to reuse grey-water from various hotel operations, including HVAC condensate, boiler blow-down and chiller cleaning, which it diverts to irrigation purposes around the property. The hotel was also recognized for its tracking mechanism to assist with waste segregation, which greatly assists reducing discarded material being sent to landfill.
