Highly regarded in the hotel and food industry, the HACCP certification is a recommended control system for the hygiene of food products. It is a prevention-based system of food safety and hygiene that has been adopted internationally as the basis for all food safety.
“The HACCP certification signals our commitment to the safety and control of our food handling within the hotel. While we have always been unremittingly strict on hygiene practices and food safety management, this is invaluable recognition for our ongoing efforts,” said Mohamad Yassine general manager, Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Downtown, “With the HACCP system’s regular monitoring protocols, we are more aware of potential issues and the establishment of corrective action if required.”
As part of the process to achieve the certification, the hotel was required to identify the critical points at the raw materials, storage, processing, distribution and consumption stages and show a system of record keeping. The certification also means an ongoing process of checks and audits by third party certification bodies to ensure the systems are in place and effective.
The hotel’s food and drink options include the all-day dining Lemon Pepper serving the brand’s signature Super Breakfast Buffet, La Terrasse Bar & Terrace and the Pool Deck.
