The Ministry of Labour has announced that working hours across all enterprises, institutions and private sector companies in UAE will be reduced by two hours per day during the holy month of Ramadan, with no reduction in wages.
The Ministry of Labour will maintain services to customers from 9am to 5:30pm during the holy month, except on Fridays and Saturdays. The ministry applies flexible working hours amongst its employees to ensure service provision throughout the day.
On Sunday, WAM announced that working hours for UAE public sector employees during Ramadan will be from 9am to 2pm.
Earlier this month it was reported that the first day of Ramadan in the UAE this year will likely be June 18.
