D&A, the fully refurbished gastropub in Jumeirah Beach Hotel, is now open for breakfast offering a menu of traditional British dishes. Every Saturday from 10am-4pm, D&A’s à la carte menu offers traditional dishes to give customers a true British breakfast.

Choose from The Classic Full English with Dingley Dell products, black pudding, baked beans, tomato, mushrooms, sautéed potatoes, a choice of eggs and white, brown or fried bread; breakfast rolls with HP sauce and the old school favourite ‘Eggy Bread’ with Dingley Dell treacle-cured products and maple syrup. Other options include ‘Severn & Wye’ Scottish smoked salmon, scrambled eggs and toast and eggs Florentine, poached eggs on a toasted English muffin with Hollandaise and spinach.

Lesser known classics, close to any Brit’s heart, include the fried potato and vegetable dish – Bubble and Squeak – with a fried egg and HP sauce and Omelette ‘Arnold Bennett’. Omelette ‘Arnold Bennett’ was conceived at London ’s The Savoy Hotel – the writer was famously so delighted with the egg, smoked haddock and parmesan dish that the hotel’s chefs created for him, that he insisted on it wherever he travelled.

Healthy choices of muesli with home-dried fruits, Scottish porridge and grapefruit with brown sugar are also available, as are extra sides of black pudding, toast with Tiptree marmalade and more.

D&A’s Chef de Cuisine, Christopher Driver, says: “We have worked very hard with our suppliers to bring the best produce over for our new breakfast menu. This is an authentic British breakfast and we are very proud of the menu which will give customers a true taste of Britain’s best meal.”

On the ground floor on Jumeirah Beach Hotel, D&A goes from strength to strength. Following an extensive refurbishment at the beginning of 2014, the venue has won numerous awards since it reopened. With floor to ceiling windows, a breezy al fresco terrace, looking out onto the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah, and industrial design features mixed with muted tones and bare wood, D&A is fast establishing a reputation as the best British option in the city.
