Jumeirah at Etihad Towers has announced plans to open a European restaurant called Pearls by Michael Caines on 1 October 2015. The world famous chef has led Gidleigh Park in Devon, UK since 1994 and during that time it has earned two Michelin Stars. Pearls is the first restaurant he has given his name to outside of the UK.

The new casual dining restaurant will serve European cuisine prepared with locally grown ingredients. The restaurant has floor-to-ceiling open glass walls and offers views of Abu Dhabi’s islets and the surrounding sea. The open terrace is perfect for sundowners, aperitifs and relaxing with friends. A private landing jetty offers boat and yacht access.

Stefan Fuchs, General Manager, Jumeirah at Etihad Towers, said: “After welcoming Michael to a promotion earlier this year, we are delighted to announce the opening of the new restaurant. It is a very exciting concept brought for the first time to Abu Dhabi and the UAE, which will delight guests and foodies with enticing cuisine, casual ambience and a relaxed atmosphere.”

Michael Caines, honoured as Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 2006, owns one restaurant in Exeter and runs many others throughout the United Kingdom.

The soft opening is scheduled on 14 September, 2015 and the grand opening will take place on 1 October, 2015.
