madam-tussauds-istanbul-mayorMerlin Entertainments officially opened the Madame Tussauds Istanbul at the Grand Pera building Grand Pera which is located at the heart of Istiklal Avenue in Beyoğlu.

The world’s most famous wax museum features 55 famous figures including historical and cultural icons as well as artists, sports stars and politicians from the past and the present.

Istanbul Mayor Kadir Topbaş, Mr. Ahmet Misbah Demircan, the mayor of Beyoğlu District; Mr. Nedret Apaydın, İstanbul Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism and Osman Ekşi, District Governor of Beyoğlu attended the official opening ceremony on Nov. 28.

The double-story museum which covers a 2,000 square meter area on the first two floors of Grand Pera will offer interactive, unique entertainment for visitors of all ages, with waxworks displayed in sections that include history, science, cinema, music, sports and party.
