The next two years; 2017 and 2018 will be the busiest years for the United Arab Emirates’ hotel industry in terms of new hotel openings. According to a new report there are 183 hotel projects and 54 thousand hotel rooms in the UAE pipeline.

The new report by TOPHOTELPROJECTS prepared exclusively for The Hotel Show Dubai 2016 reveals that the majority of the new hotels are expected to open before 2020. There are 56 project openings in 2017 and 58 project openings in 2018. Some of the hotels that will open in the next two years include; Paramount Hotel Dubai (2017); Hard Rock Hotel Abu Dhabi (2017); Citymax Hotel Ras Al Khaimah (2017); and Marriott Dubai Jumeirah (2018).

Leading the hotel construction across the UAE are the emirates of Dubai and Abu Dhabi with a combined 155 hotel projects and 47,619 rooms in the pipeline. Meanwhile, Sharjah has six projects and 959 rooms in the pipeline and Ras Al-Khaimah has five projects and 1,847 rooms coming up.

At the Vision Conference 2016, part of the 17th edition of The Hotel Show Dubai, TOPHOTELPROJECTS will discuss the latest hotel construction trends across the UAE and the wider Middle East and Africa. The three-day event takes place from September 17-19 at Dubai World Trade Centre.
