Dubai will celebrate the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s 88th National Day on 23 September in grand style with an array of events and activities, reflecting the strong relations between the people of both countries.

Visitors from Saudi Arabia will be welcomed with sweets, flowers and coffee upon arrival at the Dubai International Airport in line with the spirit of Arab hospitality and culture, while families, residents and visitors can take part in exciting events and entertainment including a concert by regional stars and a fireworks show at La Mer.

Amusement parks, hotels, malls, and landmarks will add to the excitement of the joyous occasion with special activities and numerous promotions. The strong relations between the UAE and the KSA have never been closer, where the residents of Dubai can expect to see some of the city’s most famous landmarks, Burj Khalifa, illuminated in the national flag of Saudi Arabia in a display of friendship and respect between the two nations.

Travelling between Dubai and Saudi Arabia is made even easier with the launch of Emirates’ fourth daily flight from Riyadh, taking the number of weekly Emirates flights serving the Saudi capital to 91. Dubai is like a second home to Saudi citizens – 85% of Saudi travelers consider Dubai as a preferred destination while 46% of Saudi visitors were repeat visitors in 2017 – and again this year many Saudis are set to celebrating their National Day in the emirate by visiting some of the city’s most popular attractions during this period of fun-filled events and activities.
