Manchester United arrived Dubai yesterday for a warm weather training camp. Jose Mourinho and his players have just finished a run of five games in 14 days during the busy festive period, and now are looking forward to spending time in Dubai. However, it is not a holiday; it is preparations for the next match.
With a week to go until United’s next match, against managerless Stoke City on 15 January, Mourinho has chosen this time to give his players a change of scenery by taking them away to the Middle East.
“We need to recover but at the same time we also need to train because during this crazy time we have not had many times to work on details that you want to work on,” Mourinho commented.
“It’s been more about the recovery from the match and the traveling and the preparations for the next one without time to work. ‘If we can have time to have a good, nice week to recover some injured players and tired players and, at the same time, work on some tactical details I think it would be good for the second part of the season,” Mourinho added.
Jose Mourinho and his Manchester United players are staying at the five-star One&Only Royal Mirage Dubai, which is a breathtaking hotel, with amazing gardens, swimming pools, and one-kilometer long private beach.
